the spindleworks garden.

Since the beginning of the year, the Spindleworks artists have been working with Landscape Architect Ann Kearsley to design a garden at Spindleworks. Each week an eager and determined group meets with Ann to discuss ideas, look at different garden styles, and draw ideas for what will undoubtedly be a very creative garden! With Ann's help, we now have a schematic plan for the Spindleworks garden.

But how do we pay for this garden? The artists have already thought about this and have decided to have a can and bottle drive. As it turns out, we are well on our way. With cans and bottles collected over the past year, we have established a healthy start to our garden fund. But we need more help. The artists of Spindleworks invite the community to donate money from their redeemed cans and bottles to our project. For greater ease, you may redeem bottles at either The Beverage Rack, 48 Cushing Street, Brunswick or Topsham Redemption Center, 125 C Maine Street, Topsham where an account has been set up for us. If you would like to make an additional donation towards this project, please contact us. We will also be looking for volunteers to implement the planas well as the following: Plants, Tools, Lumber, Mulch and loam, Fencing material, Gate, Paving material and stone, Containers (oversized pots), Garden furniture, Grill, Umbrella, Pump for a water garden, Hardware, Hanging baskets.... If you have any of these items, please contact us!
